Park History

Special Gift & Beginning
Ozaukee County’s "Tendick Nature Park" is a special gift that is becoming a memorable part of our lives for generations to come.

Donald Tendick, thus naming the park, donated 142 acres of woods and farmland to the County in March of 1999. Mr. Tendick passed away on May 11, 2000. Through continued work with his family and the community, his wish that this land become a park for all to enjoy is coming true.
Park Shelter Dedication
Tendick family got together along with park commission members to dedicate the new Tendick Park Shelter August 13, 2005. Rosemary Tendick cut the ribbon. View more pictures of the family and park shelter dedication.
