Below are the steps you need to follow if you have been issued a citation by one of the following agencies:

  • Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department
  • Wisconsin State Patrol
  • Department of Natural Resources

If you have been issued a citation by any other police agency within Ozaukee County, contact Mid-Moraine Municipal Court for more information.

Types of Pleas

No Contest or Guilty

If you do NOT wish to contest your citation, fill out the form provided to you at the time the citation was issued or use this form. Mark guilty or no contest on the form and mail it to:

Not Guilty

If you wish to contest your citation, fill out the form provided to you at the time the citation was issued or use this form. Mark not guilty on the form and mail it to:

The form must be received before your scheduled intake date. Once the form is received, the original scheduled intake date will be removed from the calendar. A pretrial conference with the district attorney will then be scheduled for a later date; you will receive a notice of hearing in the mail. Pretrial conferences are mandatory appearances. If the case is not resolved at the pretrial conference, the case will then be scheduled for a court trial with a judge. If you do not appear for your pretrial conference, default judgment may be entered.

Our office does not maintain the records of your driver’s license reinstatement eligibility.  We do not have a record of what may be preventing you from reinstating your license. 

To check on your eligibility to have your drivers license reinstated, go online to the Department of Transportation. If you scroll down to the area that states, “Check eligibility and/or reinstate your driving privilege online”, you will receive detailed information of what you need to do in order to be reinstated.
