Accident Reports

Accident reports are usually available after 5-10 working days by the following means:

  • Email your request (we can send the accident report back to you as an email attachment at no charge) 
    • Include your name & contact information, driver's name, date of accident, approximate time and location of accident
  • Appear in Person : Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Excluding Holidays)

    If you are requesting a copy in person or by mail, to avoid being invoiced you may include the following:
    • Check or Money Order for $1
    • Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope
    • Include Drivers Name, Date of Accident, Approximate Time and Location of Accident
    • Your Date of Birth and Driver's License Number

Please note: Ozaukee Sheriff will not fax or e-mail any incident-based records releases.

Fees / Response


Review the fee schedule. Payment is due upon the receipt of the records. Fees in excess of $5 will require prepayment. The Sheriff’s Office may take up to 10 days to respond to a record request. Request for photographs and video tapes may take a minimum of 14 days to reproduce.
